What happens when we die? Is Heaven Waiting When Our Lives End?

A friend recently commented that it made her mad when she hears people at funerals say, “You can be comforted knowing he (or she) is in Heaven.” She commented that as she reads the Bible, it doesn’t say that.

As a counselor, I did not respond that her remarks were wrong or right. I allowed her to share her belief. I then determined to go home and further study the Word for myself.
